Official Rules

THIS COMPETITION IS OPEN TO BOB JONES UNIVERSITY STUDENTS, FACULTY, STAFF, and ASSOCIATED PERSONNEL ONLY!

Introduction

Welcome to the thebjubracket.com's March Madness challenge. The results of this competition are based on the current year's Division I NCAA Men's College Basketball Tournament. On "Selection Sunday" in March, the 64 NCAA teams will be announced, and the entrants will gain points by correctly predicting the winning teams.

Cost

Each account is limited to ONE FREE bracket.

Administration

Thebjubracket.com founders will serve as the administrators for the bracket competition and resolve any disputes that may arise. No site-related staff are allowed to participate in the competition. The administration reserves the right to cancel, change, or otherwise modify the site, competition, and related operations at any time and for any reason. We may not be held liable for any damages associated with using this site or service.

Playing

Registering

Only registered users may participate in the challenge. A registered user has: a) filled out the official registration form and b) purchased at least one bracket.

Deadline

Brackets may be filled out beginning at midnight on the day following Selection Sunday, and must be submitted by 11AM on the day of the first official tournament game (excluding any play-in games). Participants will have access to the number of brackets they have purchased. All brackets must be filled out completely or the bracket will not be counted.

Note: The 64th team will be determined by a play-in Tournament game preceeding start of the actual tournament. That specific game will not be counted in this competition.

Scoring

The scores for each correct pick are calculated as follows:

  • Round 1: 1 point
  • Round 2: 2 points
  • Sweet 16: 3 points
  • Elite 8: 4 points
  • Final 4: 5 points
  • Champion: 10 points

Prizes

Prizes will be awarded to some of the top scoring brackets at the discretion of the Snackshop/Fastbreak.

Winners will be notified via their registered email address within one week after the competition ends.

Thebjubracket.com is not responsible for lost, late, corrupted, or misdirected on-line entries, whether caused by a technical or human malfunction.

Thebjubracket.com reserves the right to halt or modify the competition at any time during the competition period if events beyond their control compromise the competition fairness or integrity.

Thebjubracket.com reserves the right to disqualify any entrant from participating in the bracket challenge if we deem any conduct to be improper, unfair, or adverse to the operation of the website or competition. This behavior may include falsifying registration information, using another entrant's information, attempted tampering with the website, server, and other software, and so on.

Any entry that is incomplete, late, does not include a valid registration, or violates these terms will be disqualified.
